A Developer Walkthrough of Deus Ex’s First DLC (Video)

Finish Deus Ex: Human Revolution yet? No, I haven’t. But thanks for asking.

If you have finished the game and you’re looking to squeeze even more out of this FPS RPG, then you’ll probably want to snag some information regarding its first batch of downloadable content. “The Missing Link” will be available in October for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, OnLive, PC and Steam platforms.

But, if you’re curious as to what it’s all about and where it will be taking Adam Jensen, the video above should give you a good indication. Mary DeMarle, Lead Narrative Designer for Deus Ex, guides the full five minute clip and explains where, what and how you’ll be playing.

Your augmentations have been disabled at the DLC‘s onset, so get ready for a purely stealth host of gameplay elements to enjoy before getting all kinds of powered up.

Also, and I noticed this straight away in the clip above, the five hours of gameplay feature an improved lighting system. The game will actually look better than the full version at launch. They’ve also added stuff like weather effects to increase “immersion.” Quite frankly, we love it when companies go to lengths to actually improve their work with bonus content, rather than releasing stuff that was already done and meant to make it to retail.

Will you be picking this pack up?
