Chances are by now you’ve heard of Turntable.fm. The virtual DJ site exploded literally overnight, and allows you to spin tunes with up to five DJs per room, as well as visit virtual DJ rooms where you can listen to others spin their favorite jams for you.
Turntable.fm got a little better yesterday with the release its iPhone application. The iPhone app offers fr the most part the same functionality as the web interface. You can spin tracks, listen to tunes, and chat with others in the same room directly from your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, the upswing being now you can take those tunes with you.
We were huge fans of Turntable here at TechnoBuffalo when it initially launched, and held a few Turntable parties. I for one am pretty excited about the service now being available on the iPhone. While its certainly fun to DJ, its also a pretty solid music discovery tool that has helped me hear a few bands I probably would have never heard of otherwise.
Are any of you still using Turntable.fm regularly? Anyone excited about the iPhone app?
