If you’re a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fan, prepare to feast your eyes on yet another trailer for Activision, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer’s military shooter due this November. The trailer above delivers more than a minute of gameplay footage that features more shots of mechanics, both old and new.
Modern Warfare 3 is this year’s iteration in the Call of Duty lineup. I don’t normally toss myself onto the pile for hate or mistrust when it comes to games, companies or platform wars. It’s always been my stance that just about every game out there has its own audience, and I’m in no position to assume that said audience is wrong for gathering over a point that I don’t necessarily like.
That said, I really can’t help but feel that Modern Warfare 3 looks like the same game I’ve been playing for years now. When Call of Duty 4 dropped its multiplayer in my lap, I was floored. But, with each subsequent yearly release in the franchise, I find myself less and less attracted to the prospect in front of me.
New perks, guns, maps and streaks do not make this a new game in my book.
But, hey, I could be absolutely wrong here. I want to love Modern Warfare 3 to a billion pieces when it comes out. Hating games, quite honestly, just ain’t fun.
Hopefully the newest batch of trailers will blow my mind once they start trickling in. There’s also the chance the the campaign could rock my world, too … fingers-crossed.
Are you pumped for Modern Warfare 3?
