Is Facebook Launching Its Own Music Service?

Could Facebook be launching its own music service? According to Mashable, the social network has plans to get into the music business as early as next month, with high-profile partners like Spotify, Rdio, and MOG.

The service will reportedly let you listen to tunes from within Facebook’s traditional website. Similar to how the site handles games, Facebook itself will not supply any of the content, but will rely on content from its partners to make the magic happen.

Facebook has not made an official announcement of the service, nor has it publicly indicated plans to get involved in music streaming.

What do you think? Would you listen to tunes directly on Facebook if the functionality was available?
