HTC hasn’t exactly been keeping a tight grip on its upcoming HTC Omega Windows Phone 7 Mango handset. The official press image for the device was leaked last week, and today, photos emerge from an Algerian auction site that show the device in all its real-world glory.
A fully-functional HTC Omega has been listed on Quedkniss.com for €370 (approx. $537/£327), though it isn’t expected to be announced by HTC until the company’s upcoming London event this Thursday, September 1.
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy W, which was leaked in white earlier today, the HTC Omega looks gorgeous, and is complimented by that aluminum rear casing. Though we’re yet to get any official word on the Omega’s specs, the internals are rumored to be just a good-looking:
HTC Omega Specs
- Windows Phone 7 Mango
- 3.8-inch SLCD display
- 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 single-core processor
- 512MB RAM
- 8GB of storage
- 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash
- Front-facing camera
- DLNA compatibility
- Micro-HDMI output
Of course, it’s possible that specs list will change on Thursday, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it won’t be too different. The official name for this device is expected to be the HTC Radar.
I’m very much looking forward to HTC’s event on Thursday, and I hope the Omega is there for a good fondling. Unfortunately I don’t have any Algerian contacts, otherwise I may have considered bidding for the device myself.
What do you think of the HTC Omega?
