HTC Announces September 1 Event in London — New Devices On The Way?

HTC has created a new page on Facebook that invites the public to its next ‘Meet HTC’ event to be held in London on September 1. The invitation gives away very little information regarding things to come, but has fueled speculation that new devices are on the way.

Pocket-lint, who first stumbled across the invite, notes that the last time HTC held on of its ‘meet-ups’ was when the company announced its HTC Sensation handset, and allowed the public to get their sticky mitts on the new device. The site also believes that we can expect much of the same the next time around.

Here’s the full invite posted to Facebook by the HTC U.K.:

It’s been a while since we last met, so we thought that we’d invite you to come party – and most importantly see what’s next.

There will be the usual food, drinks, music and a few phone treats for you to enjoy.

It would be great to see you. If you’re planning on attending, please RSVP to let us know. Just remember that it’s an event for people over 18 and it’s on a first come, first served basis.

As ever you can always follow the conversation via our Twitter Tag: #HTCQB

Look forward to seeing you there!

So what could be next from HTC? Well, following those leaked images and specifications earlier this week, we’re all eagerly anticipating the launch of the HTC Holiday and the HTC Ruby Android smartphones. But Pocket-lint suggests that something different could be on the way: Noting that September 1 is also the date that the Windows Phone 7 Mango update is expected to drop, they believe it’s possible that a nice new Windows Phone handset is ready to grace our pockets.

Whatever it may be, it’s worth keeping an eye on TechnoBuffalo on September 1 — we’ll be sure to keep up to date with HTC’s news.

What will you be hoping for from HTC?
