BlackBerry Bold 9900 Comes to T-Mobile’s 4G Network on August 31

T-Mobile has just announced that RIM’s latest BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be coming to America’s largest 4G network beginning August 31. The device will cost $299.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) with a two-year contract, and lucky business customers can take advantage of the pre-sale and begin purchasing the 9900 from today.

As for specifications, the device is identical to that reviewed by our own Jon Rettinger on Monday, minus that Rogers logo beneath the keyboard, of course. Jon firmly believes this is RIM’s best BlackBerry yet — choosing to use the device over Apple’s iPhone 4 and Google Android smartphones.

So what makes this device the best BlackBerry yet? Well, in addition to those 4G capabilities and BlackBerry’s latest operating system, its impressive list of specifications make it fast, functional and stylish.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 Specifications:

  • 768 MB RAM
  • 2.8-inch TFT screen (640 x 480 pixels)

It’s no wonder, then, that T-Mobile believes this device contributes to its best 4G product lineup ever. Andrew Morrison, T-Mobile’s vice president of product management, said:

“T-Mobile is excited to add a BlackBerry smartphone to T-Mobile’s best 4G product lineup ever. With the new BlackBerry Bold 9900, we are offering our socially-active and business-minded customers a powerful device with a unique proposition — the pairing of a nationwide 4G network with the mobile communications efficiency that has become synonymous with BlackBerry smartphones.”

For business customers, T-Mobile’s vide president of business sales, Femi Lakeru, believes the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is a device CIOs can trust:

“We continue to deliver innovative products for our customers, and we’re excited to offer our first 4G BlackBerry smartphone. Since T-Mobile offers 4G speeds in more places than any other wireless broadband network in the U.S., CIOs can trust that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will give their employees the ultimate combination of speed, productivity and security.”

How do you feel about the Bold 9900 coming to T-Mobile? Will you be rushing out to pick one up on August 31?
