BlackBerry Torch 9810Sprint announced their BlackBerry Torch 2 9850 for an August 21st release, and now it’s AT&T’s turn. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is set to sail on August 21st, alongside Sprint’s 9850, but it’s the phone’s price that might be the most exciting news. An AT&T rep just confirmed to us that for just $49.99 with a two-year contract ($449.99 off-contract), you can have BlackBerry’s flagship touchscreen device running BlackBerry 7 OS.  “They aimed for an aggressive pricepoint, and they delivered,” said our own Jon Rettinger upon hearing the news.

As BlackBerry’s first 4G smartphone, the Torch 2 cranks out the following:

BlackBerry Torch 9810 Tech Specs

  • 1.2GHz processor
  • 4G Speeds
  • BlackBerry OS 7
  • 3.2-inch touch display powered by BlackBerry Liquid Graphics (480 x 640)
  • 5-megapixel camera with HD 720p video recording
  • 8 gigabytes of onboard storage
  • 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • A-GPS
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • 1300 mAh battery

Will you be in line for a 9810 or are you more of a Bold character?
