iPhone-4Another day, another iPhone 5 rumor Today both Target and Radio Shack have reportedly dropped the price of the iPhone 4.

Radio Shack customers can now pick up a 16GB iPhone 4 for $169.99 with a new two-year contract, the 32GB version for $269.99, or an 8GB iPhone 3GS for just $19.99.

Target customers can score the same $19.99 bargain on the 3GS, and can pick up either the Verizon or AT&T model of the smartphone for a little cheaper – $149.99 for the 16GB, and $249.99 for the 32GB CDMA version of the handset (GSM version will still be $299.99). Target also has a trade-in option on iPhones, so if you’re currently rocking an old 3GS you can potentially trade it on for $100 off a shiny new iPhone 4.

The discount doesn’t necessarily mean that an iPhone 5 is on the way -but it definitely eludes to the fact that retailers may be getting rid of their existing stock to make way for something else.

Rumor has it the next iPhone will be released in mid September.
