Windows Phone MangoThe day Windows Phone fans have been waiting for as Windows Phone Mango has reached its RTM (released to manufacturing) date.  This does not, however, mean that you will see it showing up on your phones within the next 24 hours.

As they said on the Windows Phone blog announcement, the various handset companies will now begin testing the software for potential update rollouts.  When they will hit your phone will depend on each company and how well the initial tests go.  As Microsoft has dictated the hardware requirements of each phone, odds are that he phones capable of handling the new version of the operating system should receive it in a pretty similar time frame.

Windows Phone Mango promises a ton of new features for those who are using the OS, and with all of the new usability issues, and more companies throwing their support behind it, there’s a good chance this could be the version that helps Microsoft win more of the market.

Are you excited for the Mango update?
