The problem is that it seems that someone didn’t tell the advertising department the order of events. An eagle-eyed reader was visiting MySpace today to see if Justin Timberlake had any noticeable influence on the site yet, and he was greeted by the ad you see above. (Click the image to see more of the surrounding space of the ad that proves it came from MySpace) That is clearly the Roku 2, and if you look closely you can even see the name on the front of the device. If you head over to the Roku site right now, they are still only showing the last generation Rokus up for sale, so someone in the company got the wrong message about when the advertising was supposed to roll out.
Not a huge deal, but still amusing, and it also gives us a hint that the device should be launching any day now. As a huge fan of the devices, I can’t wait to see what all of the new features are, but lets get this show on the road as opposed to endlessly teasing us about it with FCC pictures and misplaced ads.
Are you interested in the Roku 2?
