Amazon Fresh Launches On Windows Mobile

Amazon Fresh, the retailer’s grocery delivery service, officially launched a mobile application this morning for Windows Phone 7.

The service currently does not have an iOS or Android app available, making the choice to launch on Windows Phone a little peculiar. Amazon Fresh; however, is currently only available in Seattle which is home to 40,000 Microsoft employees-and Windows Phone 7 devices. An iPhone-optimized website is also available for iOS users.

The mobile application allows Fresh users to order groceries to be delivered to their homes, as well as manage current outstanding orders they might have. Orders placed using the service are typically delivered the same day, so you can order a frozen pizza on your phone in the afternoon and have it in time for dinner.

What do you think about mobile grocery apps in general (not just Amazon Fresh)? Could you see yourself using an application to order your groceries?
