According to an AppleInsider source, Apple is scheduled to build close to 400,000 new Macbook Airs this month. The information comes from Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who has provided accurate information about Apple’s hardware plans in the past.

According to Kuo 55% of the Airs will be the 11.6” model, which has proven to be slightly more popular than the 13.3” version. The new Airs are expected to be updated with Intel’s 32-nanometer Sandy Bridge processors, making them faster than the models currently on the market.

What do you think about the possibility of new Airs coming soon? Are any of you waiting for the update to pick one up?
