Dance Central was undoubtedly one of the best and most successful launch titles for Microsoft’s Kinect. Keeping that in mind, Dance Central 2 has some pretty big shoes to fill or, at the very least, another pair of shoes. The marquee new feature is definitely simultaneous two-player dance battles and a new tracklist that is sure to excite.
The title was revealed during an on stage performance by Harmonix during Microsoft’s press event. The demonstration showed off simultaneous full body tracking for two players, drop-in/drop-out functionality, and more authentic choreography.
As previously mentioned, Dance Central 2 will include over one hundred new tracks at launch with additional content being supported through an in-game store.
Confirmed Dance Central 2 Tracklist
- Rihanna – “Rude Boy”
- Nicki Minaj – “Massive Attack”
- Montell Jordan – “This Is How We Do It”
- La Roux – “Bulletproof”
- Far East Movement – “Like a G6”
- B.o.B featuring Bruno Mars – “Nothin’ on You”
- Bananarama – “Venus”

Available later this year, Dance Central 2 also expands the Dance Central universe with new venues, characters and game modes. To diversify gameplay, players will meet new “dance crews” and be able to team up or challenge friends and family to a head-to-head Dance Battles.
