iTunes Leaks iOS 5 Feature?

Apple’s WWDC starts on Monday, but it looks like iTunes may have spilled the beans a little early on one of iOS 5’s new features: Automatic updates for apps.

Currently if you want to update an application on your iOS device you either have to download the update onto your computer and sync your device, or manually download the application update through the App Store. New language discovered by a MacRumors reader on the iTunes update page indicates that Apple will be adding an Automatic Download option that allows you to have apps on your iOS device automatically update, with no need to manually download or update apps on your own.

The portion of the App Update page mentioned Automatic Download has since been removed by Apple, probably a good sign that is in fact a new feature in iOS 5.

What do you think? Would you use a feature that automatically updated the applications on your iOS device?
