Uncharted 3 Co-op Trailer Shows Vertical Gunfight

The locale is Syria, the game mode is cooperative, the game is Uncharted 3. While not a technically mind-blowing gameplay video, this Uncharted 3 clip does show off some of the new stylings in the cooperative mode. It looks like this video tackles a few of the challenges and objectives happening in the game, but it does not tell us if the co-op will include a tangible story this time around.

The co-op section of Uncharted 2 was simply a set of objective based games with no bearing on the story whatsoever. For most, this worked, others felt the experience should have been a part of the larger canvas of the game itself.

Towards the end of the video you’ll get a chance to see the new vertical gunplay made specifically for Uncharted 3. It used to be that climbing left players vulnerable to attack until they reached the top of their climb. Now, however, players will have the chance to shoot back at opponents with enough gall to take aim at Nathan Drake. Hopefully the addition is as seamless as the rest of the experience.

It’s great to see Sully and Drake in action.

Uncharted 3 is set to release this November exclusively for the PlayStation 3. More about the game will definitely surface at E3 in a L.A. next week.
