Strap in for more than two minutes of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS re-release of one of the greatest gaming adventures of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The trailer above shows off the game’s updated look (sans the 3D that’s only viewable on the 3DS) while piquing the nostalgic interests of every gamer that played this title around its initial release.
You’ll catch a glimpse of the touched up graphics, the remastered soundtrack, a few new character animations and Ocarina of Time in a brand new aspect ratio. For fans that have been reminiscing about this title since they beat it that first time back in 1998 (that was 13 years ago!!!), this new 3DS remake will probably save their summers.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS will release on June 19th in the United States. Many Nintendo gamers have been waiting for a game of Ocarina of Time‘s caliber to release for the 3D handheld before they make their splash into the new hardware. In fact, some are attributing the lackluster sales the new handheld’s been seeing to the lack of stellar titles like this Zelda remake.
If the 3DS is going to have a shot at becoming the new standard in portable gaming, like the DS before it, they’ll need more games like this one and a more saturated release calendar. The current lot clearly is not making the device all that viable and interesting.
Will you be buying Ocarina of Time 3DS?
