Say what you want about Dell, but at least they’re tenacious. After the epic fail that was the Adamo, its high-priced, but underpowered MacBook Air competitor — gee, any wonder why it fizzled? — the company is at it again.
The Wall Street Journal says Dell will launch its latest ultra-thin laptop, the XPS 15z, today and at a more competitive sticker price, no less. Both this notebook and the MacBook Air cost $999, but the difference (other than a less catchy name) is in sheer size. For the money, customers get a sleek 15-inch XPS 15z, versus an 11-inch Air.
