Gadget: PowerBook G4 17″ 1.5GHz

Owner: Christopher Selph

Purchase Date: 2007

Price: $700

Why I bought it: I needed a mobile Mac with power to replace my old iBook G3 Clamshell! I always loved seeing my favorite musician “Imogen Heap” use hers in her live shows so I went on craigslist and found a person who was selling one for a great price!

Best feature: 17″ inch screen! Thin

Still working?: Yes! It was in great shape for a laptop from 2005. The original battery still had 3 hours left and ran Leopard and all of my software like a champ!

What made me replace it: College was coming up and I needed something lighter, with a great battery, and an Intel processor to run all of the latest software and YouTube “yes, YouTube doesn’t work well on a G4!” So I bought a MacBook Air!

Why I’m still hanging on/why you gave it up: I gave it up because I’m a college student and needed the money to help pay for the MBA. I would have loved to have kept it though.
