Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Leak Produces Storm of Information

Modern Warfare 3 has gone and sprung a massive information leak that’s spoiling all of the goodies Activision, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software were likely looking forward to releasing at E3 next month. And, yes, three studios and one publishing titan will be responsible for the next chapter in the Call of Duty saga, for those that didn’t know.

The information is hefty, but know that you’ll likely be spoiling all of the E3 fun if you read ahead. Still, if you’re jonesing for CoD info, now’s your chance to juice up.

Modern Warfare 3, according to Kotaku‘s sources, will be dropping on Nov. 8th. That release date should come as no surprise considering the fact that every Call of Duty to see release over the last several years has done so at roughly the same time each November.

Furthermore, the multiplayer and single player campaigns will take place across more than a dozen cities; the list includes Paris, New York, London, Brooklyn and Mogadishu. The current multiplayer map count stands around 20, but there’s no word regarding whether or not those 20 maps will be a part of the launch package or spread across post-launch DLC.

The Spec Ops and Survival modes will make their triumphant return as well.

That’s as far as I’m willing to take you. Why? Because there’s nothing more in this world that I hate more than spoilers. Kotaku has an epically long article absolutely brimming with spoilerific details (like who lives and who dies, and how) up on their site. You could head over there and ruin one of the year’s largest releases if you like, but you want sucker me into falling into that bottomless pit on your behalf.

I won’t do it.

This leak is gargantuan. While we most slap the “unofficial” tag on it at the onset, given the laundry list of details and the sheer quantity of assets accompanying Kotaku’s news bomb, it’s more than likely that these details are entirely legitimate.

We’ll bring you more of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as it comes.
