RIM has gotten official with the BlackBerry 9900/9300 smartphones. The newest handsets in the BlackBerry line will have a 1.2GHz processor, full QWERTY keyboard, 2.8-inch touchscreen, 8GB of built-in storage, and a 5-megapixel cam with 720p high-definition video recording. The phones also include built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) support, and will come running the BlackBerry 7 OS.
The 9900 supports HSPA+ networks, and the 9930 supports CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and HSPA+ global roaming. Both the 9900/9300 are expected to be available from “carriers around the world” starting this summer.
