Gaming for the Weekend – 4/30

We here at TechnoBuffalo are lovers of all things gadget, gizmo and tech. Video games are a part of that world. As a way to share a little bit more about our editors and their weekend habits, we’ve decided to run a weekly feature every Saturday that dives into what some of the staff are playing.

Whether it’s Angry Birds or Bad Company 2, you’re likely to find a wide variety of titles and preferences here every time you read. Enjoy

Jonathan Rettinger – President
This weekend I will be learning how to stop a Zerg rush. Will I build a ton of marines? Will I tech up? No seriously, will I? I need the help. I still can’t beat Jon Quach or anyone else online at Starcraft 2.

I’ll probably play some Uno HD on the Nook Color.  Sadly, I might not be kidding. also, last week I rediscovered the joys of Cogs on iPhone.  That’s a fun puzzle game.

What I’d like to do is spend a good three hours trying to rediscover my FIFA skills on Xbox. But that would imply that I once had skills to be rediscovered. Nope. I suck at FIFA. But it’s still loads of fun

I’ve finished off Angry Birds Seasons for the Easter update, so it’s time to head back to the consoles. I’ve still got Bayonetta in shrink wrap, so I’m thinking it’s time I finally give that game a go.

Jack McGrath – Contributing Editor
Again, I will be diving into the incredibly hilarious world of Portal 2. Last weekend, I was able to finish up the single player campaign for a second time. Now, I’ll be grinding my way through the cooperative campaign with friends. Other than that, I will be killing friends in Crysis 2 and building flammable fortresses in Minecraft.

Joey Davidson – Video Games Editor
This weekend I will be in Japan. That’s right, the land of gaming and all that is wonderfully nerdy. For my flight, I’ve got my 3DS, New Super Mario Bros. and Pilotwings. Once I land? Who knows?? We’ve planned a trip to Namcoland in Osaka, so that should be fun. I’ll almost definitely be playing the latest versions of Mario Kart GP, Taiko Drum Master and whatever other hilarious games they have to offer. Japanese arcades = totally different from anything you think you know.

What will you be playing this weekend?
