Samsung and Boost Mobile have an announcement scheduled for tonight, but it appears that someone at the cellular company jumped the gun by unveiling the latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy line on the site this morning. Say hello to the Samsung Galaxy Prevail.
Boost isn’t exactly known for its high-end phones, but it does appear the pre-paid subsidiary of Sprint is trying to get more of its foot in the door of the Android game. While the Prevail isn’t the first Android phone on the network, that honor went to the Motorola i1, it is first from Samsung that has been really going nuts with Android handsets as of late.
The Prevail has been rumored for some time now, but the page showing up on the site is the first official confirmation that it landed at Boost. It will reportedly be selling for $179.99 without a contract, so definitely a great entry level phone if you’re looking to jump in and give the Android operating system a try.
