Sprint Integrating Google Voice

by Emily Price | March 21, 2011March 21, 2011 9:01 am PDT

Google and Sprint have teamed up together to bring Google Voice integration to all Sprint phones. Starting soon, Sprint customers can decide to use their existing Sprint phone number as a Google Voice number, or replace their existing Sprint number with their current Google Voice number.

Google Voice allows you to have your phone number ring a number of different telephones at once (such as your cell and office phone simultaneously) and offers visual voicemail that is digitally transcribed, giving you the ability to read your voicemail rather than listen to it. Google Voice numbers also can place inexpensive international calls, record calls, and block unwanted callers.

The service is currently available in app form for mobile phone users. Google Voice Sprint integration is a little different, because it allows your number to be used as a Google Voice number without specifically having to port it to the service.

Are any of you Sprint users? What do you think about Google Voice integration? Will you use it?
