In addition to announcing the iPad 2 this afternoon, Apple also announced an updated version of its iOS operating system, iOS 4.3, expected to officially launch on March 11. So what’s new in iOS 4.3?
- iTunes home sharing, which lets you share your iTunes library over wifi
- AirPlay improvements -automatically searches for your
- iPad switch can be used to mute the device or to lock it. Your choice.
- Personal hotspot feature for iPhone 4 only
The iPad 2 also includes FaceTime and PhotoBooth applications, as well as a new iMovie application that takes advantage of the iPad 2’s rear-facing camera, and a GarageBand application that allows you to connect your guitar physically to your iPad to record tracks, or use the program’s built-instruments to create a tune.
