2012 Bentley Continental GT Shown – Still Expensive

by Jon Rettinger | March 1, 2011March 1, 2011 1:35 pm PDT

Over the past years, I hope you’ve had the chance to get to know me, and my nerdiness.  What you might not know, is that I’m also a huge gear-head.

While I can’t quote you car specs like I can phones, I appreciate autos, and when I’m not geeking out, I’m generally reading about cars, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw 2012 Bently Continental GT spyshots sitting in my inbox.  The story goes like this.  An eagle eyed TechnoBuffalo tipster was lucky enough to attend a private showing of the Bentley’s new baby, and managed to snap a few extremely high res shots of the $190,000 car I’ll never be able to afford.  There is gobs of tech adorning this (gaudy?) red cabin, but what’s most intriguing, is what’s living below the hood.  This rolling status symbol is packing 567 horsepower and 516 pound feet of torque, which propels this 5,115 pound beast to 60 milers per hour in 4.4 seconds, while delivering an average of 17.1 milers per gallon.

Assuming money wasn’t an option, would the 2012 GT be your car of choice? Do you like the intermittent car posts?
