The Social Network Loses Best Picture, Picks Up 3 Awards Anyway

The Social Network may have missed out on the award for best picture at last night’s Oscars, losing to The King’s Speech; but that didn’t stop it from picking up three other awards at the show.

The film picked up the award for:

  • Best Adapted Screenplay – Aaron Sorkin
  • Best Original Score – Trent Reznor
  • Best Film Editing – Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter

The Social Network won the Best Picture award at the Golden Globes, and was nominated for a total of eight Oscars. The film has won more award than any movie previously that focuses on technology and computer “nerds.”
