Sony President on PS3 Hacking, Tablets, & Android

by Jon Rettinger | February 28, 2011February 28, 2011 12:20 pm PDT

On Feb. 24th, Noah and I had the unique opportunity to sit down with President and COO of Sony Electronics Phil Molyneux (Be sure to also check out  Noah’s full analysis of the event, and Sony’s place in the Consumer Electronics market).  During the event, we asked you, the TechnoBuffalo audience, to submit your questions, and overwhelmingly you wanted to know about Sony’s stance on hacking (GeoHot in particular), their take on tablets, and their commitment to Android.  Mr. Molyneux was a bit guarded with his answers, but we do get some interesting insight into Sony’s plans for the future.

Note: This was Mr. Molyneux’s first time going on the record to media in a non-scripted fashion.

What do you think?  Were you satisfied with his responses? Do you agree?  Sound off in the comments.
