Motorola Xoom Shipping Without Flash

The highly-anticipated Motorola Xoom will be hitting stores Thursday, but it will be lacking one key feature -Flash. The Verizon webpage for the tablet went up earlier this morning. In the ad for the tablet Flash is listed (in super small print at the bottom of the screen) as “expected Spring 2011.”

The iPad does not support Flash, so it is certainly possible to have a useful and successful tablet without it. The iPad and iPhone have received quite a bit of criticism over time for not having Flash support, it’s interesting that Motorola would choose to launch the tablet without it.

The Xoom has already gotten quite a bit of backlash for its steep price tag. The 32GB 3G Xoom will cost $800 when it goes on sale, and will offer a free upgrade to 4G. The 32GB 3G iPad currently sells for $729.

What do you think abuot Motorola leaving off Flash support for the Xoom launch? Will you miss it? Will it influence your decision on buying one of the tablets?
