If you’re switching to Verizon for the iPhone and feel left out of the pre-ordering fun today, there’s news that impacts you also.
For those of you have been waiting for Verizon to land the iPhone 4, you have been a very happy camper the last few weeks. What may have been causing you some stress is the lack of information in regards to when stores will open so you can get your anxious little hands on the device. It has been widely reported that current Verizon customers can pre-order their iPhone 4 on Feb. 3rd, while everyone else has to wait until the Feb. 10th. Well, that is not necessarily the case. We have new information to the ordering process as well as when they will open those darn doors.
Apple has announced that pre-orders will be opened up to the general public on Feb. 9th, when you will either be able to reserve a phone for pick up, or have it delivered to your home on launch day. The official statement from Cupertino in relation to store openings is as follows:
Beginning at 7 a.m. local time on Thursday, February 10, iPhone 4 on Verizon will be available to all qualified customers at Apple’s retail stores. iPhone 4 will also be available at more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless Communication Stores nationwide.. online at www.verizonwireless.com/iphone, select retail partners, and by calling 1-800-2 JOIN IN.
Just to recap the pricing model, the Verizon iPhone 4 will be available for a suggested retail price of $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model, of course with a two year agreement.
There will be plenty of outlets to pick up a Verizon iPhone 4, and the anticipation is growing so you can expect crazy lines with this launch just like you see in the summer when the new iPhone launches. If you are a current Verizon customer and are now getting the iPhone 4 itch, you can go to the Verizon Wireless website to check your upgrade eligibility.
