My early contender for MacWorld Best in Show actually went on sale late last year. So it might get disqualified on a technicality. But algoriddim’s djay for iPad is still awesome. This $20 app turns your iPad and iTunes library into a dual-deck wheels of steel set up complete with multitouch-aware control over scratching, crossfaders and queue points, and digital wizardry like the ability to instantly jump to any point in a song.

NOTE: In the video above, he’s the deejay and I’m the rapper … well, I’m the guy bobbing his bald dome at the end, anyway.
