You didn’t think things were going to quiet down just because CES is over, now did you?
I’m headed over to San Francisco later today for the MacWorld 2011 Media Preview event. Honestly, I’m not sure what to expect from this year’s show – things changed drastically after Apple pulled out of the event a few years ago, and last year’s show was basically a show case for iPhone/iPod cases and apps, with a few Mac bags and peripherals thrown in for good measure. I’m expecting more of the same this year, though the show could actually be a bit larger thanks to the success of iPad. Then again, it could be smaller since we’re now another year removed from Apple fleeing the premises in favor of their own yearly schedule of media events.
One thing’s for sure, though: Come this time tomorrow I’ll be up to my ears in iPhone cases good, bad, and ugly. If there’s anything in particular you’d like me to check out at MWSF ’11, hit me up on twitter (@noahkravitz) and I’ll do my best to get some hands-on time.
After MacWorld, TechnoBuffalo REALLY hits the road with stops in New York City for the Sprint event on Feb. 7, San Francisco again for HP’s webOS launch on Feb 9, and Barcelona, Spain for Mobile World Congress starting Feb 13. Stay tuned, kids, we’re gonna rack up some frequent flyer miles this month!
