Skype Updates Its iPhone App To Support 3G Video Calls

So much for the idea that Skype was going to wait until the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next week to announced video calls over 3G for the iPhones.

Several days ago Skype leaked a document that video calls were coming to the iPhone over 3G, and then yesterday some folks were seeing a landing page that hinted at the same thing.  The general thinking was that the company would make this announcement at CES, but it would seem that they just couldn’t wait and in the middle of the night, a new version of their iPhone app was released.

Apparently Skype will have more announcements next week, so maybe the Android app? We’ll see.
