Apple Delaying iOS 4.2 Due To iPad Wi-Fi Issue

Well, it looked like we were all set to get iOS 4.2 on Friday, Nov. 12th, but a last minute Wi-Fi issue on the iPad is keeping it back for at least a week, if not more.

According to MacStories, the Gold Master (GM) version of iOS 4.2 that went out on Nov. 1st to developers ended up having a major flaw in it.  It would connect to a Wi-Fi connection, but then would lose it within minutes.  A new GM is being prepared and should hit at any time now which will cause a delay of this long awaited release until Friday Nov. 19th, and perhaps even longer as Apple puts it through its paces to make sure the bug is squashed.

I don’t know about you, but as someone with a Wi-Fi only iPad, I’m totally willing to wait as this bug would really kill the uses of the device for me.
