We’ve already gotten the official word on the Logitech Revue, the company’s entry into the new Google TV program, but what about these Sony TVs we’ve been hearing so much about? The official launch isn’t until next Tuesday, but it appears that at least some of the prices have already leaked out on to the Internet.
Sony is going to be fully integrating Google TV into a family of four new sets to launch this fall, but as of yet we haven’t heard anything on screen sizes or pricing. Luckily, SonyInsider was apparently able to dig up some of the details for everyone.
The sets are going to range from 24-inches to 46-inches, and while they weren’t able to get all of the prices, they got enough of them:
- NSX-32GT1 – $1299.99
- NSX-40GT1 – $1499.99
- NSX-46GT1 – $1899.99
No pricing was available for the 24-inch model, but the assumption is it will be under $1000. These TVs are going to be able to do everything we’ve heard Google TV can do including surfing the Web and playing Flash videos, you’ll just have the bonus of not having yet another box clogging up your family room.
They were also able to confirm that the Sony Internet TV Box, NSZ-GT1 does indeed exist, but no pricing or details were available beyond the fact it comes with WLAN, an HDMI cable and an eject button, with the assumption being it will play Blu-rays.
All of the details will be officially unveiled next week on Oct. 12th, but at least now you know approximately how much you need to search your couch cushions for.
What say you? Any interest in the Sony Google TV sets?
