Google Allows You To Turn Off Threaded Message View

One of the biggest selling points for me to give over all my e-mail needs to Google’s Gmail product was the threaded view capability.  I have always hated, and always will, having to dig back through pages of e-mails to reference something.  It would seem, however, that not everyone is as in love with this feature, and Google is finally going to do something about it.

Google announced yesterday that threaded view will now become optional for Gmail users.  While the default will continue to be threaded viewing, if it really isn’t someone’s cup of tea, they will now have the capability to switch it off.

Personally they will have to pry conversation view from my cold, dead hands before I’d ever give it up.  Due to the sheer volumes of emails I get in a day, my life would be miserable if I had to keep jumping around in my inbox to find everything someone had sent me.

What say you?  Will you give the “Conservation view off” option a try?
