Unlike Apple and their big surprise launches, Samsung is releasing details of their forthcoming tablet, bit by bit.
On Tuesday, the company released a very short video dropping a few hints at some of the features of the rumored “Galaxy Tab”. You can view the video by clicking here.
The Tab is just one of many devices attempting to challenge Apple and their iPad via a very active consumer touch-screen market right now. The video composition points towards Samsung’s Android tablet as one surpassing iPad’s features, which is a must if any competitor is going to make any evident moves in the market.
The video starts by demonstrating another touch-screen tablet and inquires, “Want more?” It continues to demonstrate video calling, “full Web browsing,” and show’s off Android 2.2 on a 7-inch touch screen. It ends with an official release date of September 2nd in Berlin, Germany indicating that they will introduce the device at IFA in Berlin, Europe’s version of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
While the video is quick, it shows off some more hidden gems about the device. Video calling indicates a front-facing camera and “full Web” browsing hints that there may be Flash support coming soon. We’ll keep you on top of the latest developments.
