The Three Most Important Teaser Trailers of Gamescom So Far

by Travis Harvey | August 18, 2010August 18, 2010 4:00 am PDT

Europe’s largest gaming convention Gamescom is underway and all the big names are there, showing off their goods.  Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Blizzard, Electronic Arts, and more have gathered in Germany with announcements, trailers, and most importantly, playable titles.  Here are three teaser trailers that’ll rev up the gamer in you.

Resistance 3

The first title in the Resistance franchise was original and one of the better first-person shooters to make it to the Playstation 3 at its time.  The storyline, awesome online multiplayer, and unique weaponry made Resistance: Fall of Man one my favorite modern FPSs.  Insomniac Games has unleashed a live action teaser that promises a more gruesome look into the next Resistance title.  Check out the teaser here.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One

Insomniac Games’ second announcement at Gamescom, Ratchet and Clank 4 is officially official for the Playstation 3.  All 4 One brings four-player co-op, online multiplayer, and more strange weapons that make the franchise what it’s known for.  Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until next Fall to get your hands on hopefully turns into a smash hit party game you can enjoy with a few friends.  Until then, here’s the first look at Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.

Infamous 2

Hopefully it’s pretty obvious that I’m a fan of the original Infamous title Sucker Punch bestowed upon the PS3 mid-2009.  Thankfully they’ve decided to give it another go with Infamous 2 that puts Cole in yet another apocalyptic city to battle his way through baddies, discovering new powers along the way.  Although the earliest preview of Infamous 2 showed Cole looking nothing like he did in his first game, it looks like Sucker Punch is reverting back to the Cole’s old look, which is likely for the best.  Here’s the newest teaser.
