A Not So Ugly Way To Stop the iPhone 4 Reception Issue

by Travis Harvey | July 20, 2010July 20, 2010 1:00 pm PDT

If you’re one of the many unlucky iPhone 4 owners suffering from a deteriorating signal with the death grip, you’re likely looking forward to Apple’s case giveaway coming sometime this week.  Not everybody loves to bulk up that sexy new iPhone with a rubber bumper or wrap-around case.  Makers of the InvisibleShield sticky protectors are one of many companies cranking out protectors for the iPhone 4 that cover the pesky gap on the lower left-hand corner.  Take a look at the video above to see the results before and after the application of Zagg’s InvisibleShield protector.  The side-only protector starts at $10.

If you’re willing to poke a little fun at the problem, Etsy is selling 6-packs of Antenn-aids that ‘may improve signal performance’.  You’ll get black, white, green, blue, tan, and purple, each of which is sure to stick out like a sore thumb.   The pack of six Antenn-aids is a measly $5.  Etsy’s got pages upon pages of antenna wraps in a variety of colors and they actually look pretty sexy.  Not all guarantee to fix your reception issue but feedback from buyers begs to differ.
