Hot off the recently announced Droid X from Motorola and Verizon comes the latest leak revealing Verizon’s powerhouse of a lineup. The most surprising details surround the unannounced Motorola Droid 2 that’s “coming soon!” Showcased front and center, the silver sequel to one of Verizon’s most popular devices tops off a solid lineup of devices any Verizon customer should be happy to choose from.
Details of the Droid 2 aren’t scarce either as page 5 of the catalog reveals its 8GB onboard storage, 5 megapixel camera, 3G mobile hotspot capabilities, and 1 GHz processor. The rest of its capabilities are what you’d find on any of the more popular Android handsets. For those looking for a dumber feature phone will be pleased with just as many devices, some of which include the LG Env Touch, Pantech Jest, and Verizon Salute.
Among the rest of Verizon’s lineup are the soon-to-be-released Droid X, Droid Incredible, Blackberry Bold, Palm Pre Plus & Pixi Plus, and the recently deceased Kin One & Two. It seems Verizon is really out to ‘Rule the Air’. Does Verizon now have the best lineup of all four big carriers? All signs point to yes.
Any original Droid owners looking to upgrade to the new Droid 2? There’s no word on release date yet but ‘coming soon’ has to mean something. Head on over to Boy Genius Report for the full catalog.
