Lower Priced Xbox 360 Slim Coming This Fall

No, Microsoft, I will not call your new Xbox 360 “New Xbox 360.”  Once the older models have finally sold out we can revert back to the simpler times of “Xbox 360.”  In related news, Microsoft has confirmed they will be offering a lower priced model of the Xbox 360 Slim this fall to appease the less wealthy.

Currently available in only one model, the Xbox 360 Slim comes with a 250GB hard drive, built-in Wifi, and one USB+Power port for the upcoming Kinect attachment.  All of the above is currently priced at a hefty $299.  Once supplies dwindle on remaining stock of the original Xbox 360 bundles, Microsoft will be offering up a $199 Xbox 360 Slim sometime this fall.  No indication of hard drive storage or Wifi connectivity has been given but its likely that Kinect port that was added to the Slim will make it onto any other models deviating from today’s $299 model.

If you were considering dropping $300 for that shiny, piano black Xbox you might consider holding off either until the lower priced models are announced or something slips out a bit early.  Hey, it’s happened before!  Have you picked up a model of last week’s Xbox refresh?
