It’s been a while since we first saw the iPod Touch sporting a camera last year that was rumored for quite a while to debut at last year’s September iPod event. Well if you were desperately waiting to see a camera make it to the iPod Touch, it looks like we’re in for a similar story headed into the summer.
The same Vietnamese site that snagged the second iPhone HD prototype have also gotten their hands on an iPod Touch with a camera. It’s running what Engadget is calling a diagnostic utility and they’ve also traced the serial back as a late 2009 iPod Touch model. The deice pictured indicates this device as a 64GB model alongside a 2 megapixel centered camera.
Obviously there’s been no indication of when we’ll see such an upgrade hit the iPod Touch but I wouldnt be getting your hopes up for a pre-September release. Are you holding out for an iPod Touch with a camera? When do you guess we’ll see it announced? Share your thoughts in the comments.
