Microsoft Plays Around With Pen & Touch Input

If this video is any indication of Microsoft’s rumored Courier tablet, Ballmer is set to prove Jobs, who said “If you see a stylus…they blew it”, way wrong.  Since our fingers aren’t capable of the precision that a stylus offers, there’s still hope for Microsoft to show off some beautiful pen input in a way we haven’t really seen before.  The video above shows exactly that with pen interaction that looks to feel as natural as touch input we’re becoming so used to seeing.  If Microsoft plans to bring Courier to life this year, we can no doubt look forward to an innovative combination of pen and touch object manipulation.
