The day you CDMA enthusiasts have been waiting for is finally here. Today, in a closed door press only meeting, Verizon Senior Vice President Hugh G. Lyar announced to a stunned room that “The iPhone is coming, the iPhone is coming! I’m so happy to announce that starting someday we will be offering Apple’s iPhone to our customers. While we don’t yet have official pricing, we can tell you that it’s going to be expensive. We figure we can charge whatevs, and you’ll just buy it anyway, so why not make some extra sweet sweet skrilla? We know our customers are super excited to get their multitasking on and we are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Apple. Who’s ready to get some Rhapsody and Vcast? Can I get a hellz yeah? Lines are forming now outside of Verizon stores everywhere!”
With a few simple words, the iPhone has officially made the jump to the nations largest wireless provider. Later in a Q&A session, Mr. Lyar showed a preview of verizon’s new iPhone ad campaign staring Owen Wilson.
So, who’s lining up?
