As we’ve seen more and more magazine publishers ready their content for digital consumption, one company is prepared to take a gamble on a highly unexpected print magazine. Known for its other hugely popular gaming magazines like the Official Xbox Magazine and Nintendo Power, Future Publishing is set to release a quarterly magazine focused entirely on World of Warcraft.

Unlike so many other magazine publications that depend heavily on ad revenue, Future Publishing is guaranteeing that each issue will be completely ad-free and nearly 150 pages long. At $39.99 per year, you’ll be able to read hundreds of articles from game strategies to editorials all with original, in-house artwork that’s been approved by Blizzard.

Tuesday, Future released a preview of their upcoming first issue that’ll be driven by World of Warcraft’s fifth year anniversary. The free preview features strategies from expert players and insight from the development team. Check out the impressive preview on their official page.

Can a magazine so focused on one game be a success? Will the WoW community commit to another subscription fee for the sake of the horde? Let us know what you think or if you’re planning to subscribe!
