HTC HD2 vs. iPhone 3GS: Homescreen Utility

As a follow up to our initial tour of the HD2 and the internet comparison with the iPhone 3GS, we present a comparison of the two devices in terms of the utility of their home screens. We find that HTC has done extensive work to the interface on the HD2 to make the home screen an information-rich location that makes it easy to access programs, contacts, internet favorites, weather, next appointment, and more. Conversely, the iPhone home screen interface is still very application-centric; you can’t see any data unless you drill into a given application.
