Sony (Ericsson) might be down but they ain’t out yet. The InterWeb’s got the goods on a rumored Android-based flagship that’s apparently set to debut at CES 2012 next month in Las Vegas.

The LT28at, as it’s being referred to, will purportedly feature a 4.5-inch 720p “Reality Display” screen, 13 megapixel rear camera 720p front camera, and support for AT&T’s new LTE network. Powered by a dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz, the Android device’s specs would differ just enough from the SE Nozomi (non-U.S. device) to make it an entirely new product. This is all based upon an internal Sony Ericsson document obtained by Xperia Blog via the (Bluetooth Special Interests Group) and some sample photos Slashgear claims were taken by the device, including the one below.

Wait, Fell Street? That’s in San Francisco! Maybe I should get myself across the Bay and try to track this thing down?

I reached out to AT&T about the device, and got the expected “We do not comment on rumors” response. Guess we’ll have to wait until their CES Developers’ Conference on January 9th to find out!

In the meantime, is it too late for Sony Ericsson, or would a camera-centric, LTE enabled beast of an Android device be enough to bring them back into the mix next year? Even if it “only” runs on two-cores and not four?
