On this episode of TechnoBuffalo’s Driven, we keep on with the Tesla theme, and this one is a doozy. Audi, one of the world’s premier car companies, took time, money and resources to write up a press release encouraging consumers not to pay attention to Tesla, and claims the media is giving Elon Musk’s company too much credit. It’s crazy, desperate and hilarious. The press release, incidentally, has been deleted from Audi’s website.
Audi has one of the biggest reputations in the industry, and is much, much larger than Tesla. So it’s comical to see such an enormous company make a stink about Tesla’s current success, and bring negative attention to itself in the process. Someone at Audi obviously feels threatened, and felt it necessary to justify its disdain by giving out misleading information.
