We just left Sprint’s press event in New York City where we had a chance to check out the brand new Sharp Aquos Crystal for Sprint, one of the first Sharp handsets to launch in recent memory (or as far back as we can remember, at least!) The device doesn’t offer the best specs on the planet, far from it, but it has an amazing form factor that’s definitely going to attract consumers.
The 5-inch display only has a 720p resolution, and the processor is a Snapdragon 400 chip, but the device has an incredible nearly bezel-less display that stretches from both both sides all the way to the top of the phone. You can even see the glass edges if you look at it from the side. It’s light in the hand, too, and we like that there’s literally no room for anything at the top of the phone that Sharp had to move the selfie camera down to the bottom.
You’ll be able to pick one up soon for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $10, or $239 without a contract. If you prefer a prepaid carrier, you can choose to head over to Boost or Virgin Mobile, both of which are offering it for $149.99. Seriously, this a phone worth walking into Sprint to check out.
