It’s finally official: Nokia unveiled the Lumia 1020, previously codenamed the “EOS.” Curious as to what you’re getting on the newest Windows Phone 8 flagship? Check out our event recap video.

Yep, you heard right: the Lumia 1020 will set you back a princely $299 on-contract. That’s no small sum for anyone on a tight budget, but when you consider this phone should officially replace any point-and-shoot device you have, it’s not completely outrageous. Customers will have to be crazy about that camera, though, so it’s on Nokia to prove what wonderful photo technology awaits a potential buyer.

Are you in for a Lumia 1020, or is the price too high of an entry barrier? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
